A little more about Erik…
What excites you about the opportunity at Meadow Spring?
“Meadow Spring is a great church with a wonderful history. I’m excited about the opportunity to continue the wonderful legacy Pastor John has established and to see where God leads MSC in this next chapter!”
What do you feel is God's calling for you?
“God has called me to help people enter into a relationship with Jesus and to help them get discipled so that they become like Jesus and do the things that Jesus did while living a full and healthy life that displays the fruit of the Spirit.”
What are the key strengths and skills you have used in your ministry career?
“Teaching, vision casting, shepherding, creating healthy communities of small groups of people.”
What is the role of the church in today's world?
“The role of the Church today is to introduce people to Jesus, disciple them, and help individuals and families become who God created them to be.”
Can you tell us a little about your life's joy outside of ministry?
“I love seeing my kids thrive and have fun. I love when I’ve had the opportunity to help coach my kids in sports or help them grow in music or theater. Playing music brings me joy. Being outside in God’s creation brings me joy. Having fun with my wife brings me joy.”
We encourage you to get to know Erik's teaching style and heart for the Word by watching a few of his messages:
“The God Who Bleeds”
“Leaving a Lot Behind”
“When Things Don’t Go According to Plan”
“Recapture Your Imagination”
“The Generosity Ladder”
You are also invited to meet Erik at the church on Friday, October 24 at 7:00 PM. You will have the opportunity to hear Erik and interact with him during an informal “Meet and Greet” fellowship time.
And then on Sunday, October 26, Erik will deliver the message during our regular worship time followed by informal time after service to meet Erik & his family. You also are encouraged to provide any feedback on Erik (comments left in the boxes at back of auditorium). The Elder board will consider this feedback as we continue to seek God’s will for leadership at Meadow Spring.
Let’s commit this to focused prayer asking God to give us wisdom and lead us in this important weekend and decision.
