Rockin' Christmas Eve was a total success! Wow! Probably the most successful Christmas Eve we've experienced!
Best thing is that 7 people received Jesus on Christmas Eve at Meadow! THAT never gets old!
I'm so grateful for all our volunteers and how they stepped up to serve on Christmas Eve.
We had more people attend Christmas Eve than attended Easter!
I got just what I wanted for Christmas - a full house with my kids, granddaughter, and four dogs. It was awesome!
BUT...I'm still physically whipped from all the effort and energy that went into leading up to and actually doing the Rockin' Christmas Eve.
I think I had my eyes closed more than open yesterday and today! Sheesh!
45 days from today Sandy & I are taking off for places where there is sand, beaches, and warm sun! So looking forward to the time of relaxing and re-syncing my brain and body!
Looking forward to John Pennucci preaching this next Sunday.
Then we'll kick in to my next teaching series "No Perfect People Allowed".
I did this series back in 2004. The content and delivery will be a bit different this time but the truth of the statement is the same at Meadow... "no perfect people allowed". We're all screw-ups (me included!)
Now that Rockin' Christmas Eve is over, I'm setting my sights on a couple possible events on the radar.
One is a possible Super Bowl party on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 5th. We would show the big game on the big screen in the auditorium.
We would also ask everyone to bring food - like finger food, snacks, game food stuff, etc.
The question is ... would this work? Would you come and watch the Super Bowl on the big screen sitting in our reclining seats with cup holders? Would it be something your friends might want to come to?
There wouldn't be any kind of message or announcements or music. It would just the game (and commercials)!
Would finger food work to bring or should we do something more like a chili feed?
I'd like to know your opinion. Comment on Facebook or here on the blog.
We need to make a decision soon so we can start promoting it. So let me know your opinion. It is important to me.
