Tackled a timely and volatile issue this morning - racism. I hit it head on and did not pull any punches. Like I said - it is not a skin issue. It is a sin issue.
I am convinced the more people get right with Jesus, the more racism will diminish.
I love what I get to do and I love Sundays at Meadow, but this series ("The Tour") is going to be one of my favorite series! I am loving it!
Best of all, God has used "The Tour" to bring 7 people into a new personal relationship with Him! That's 7 people who a few weeks ago were headed for hell and who are now headed for heaven!
I'm thinking we do it again (with different songs) next summer. I'm thinking we make "The Tour" a regular summer series at Meadow - each year doing different songs.
AND the best is yet to come! Next week is "Carry On Wayward Son" with baptism after the service - AND...we already have several people who want to get baptized!
"Don't Stop Believin'" is in two weeks as we wrap "The Tour" up.
THEN...we kick-off two services (9:00 & 10:30 AM) with an all-worship Sunday.
Yes...I know. It was FREEZING in the auditorium today. I was even feeling it on stage under the hot lights!
Woke up at midnight last night with an awesome "What if...?" thought. Sorry - not ready to share it yet. I gotta think it through more and make sure it wasn't just the pepperoni pizza I had for supper.
Next Sunday....bring your lawn chairs and food to share for the picnic at Fireman's Park after the lake baptism.
Have you taken my simple and quick 4 question survey? I'm thinking of doing a weekly interactive Facebook "Live" video and would like your input. You can fill out the survey HERE.
So far the results are positive and it seems interest is in hearing teaching on knowing God's will, how to read and understand the Bible, and marriage. Those are the top three at this point.
If responses continue as they have been, I will start this Thursday at 8:00 PM.
