Gave an exciting update to our Vision '17 challenge this morning.
Four teams have been formed and are meeting.
Wednesday Night Team will be meeting to begin brainstorming on how our new Wednesday night ministry will look starting this fall.
Global Missions Team has met and formulated the groundwork to build and expand our involvement in missions outside the community of Meadow.
Community Events Team has met and has already put some things on the calendar like the movie night (May 19 showing "Sing"), involvement with River City Days, a "Be the Church" Sunday filled with serving our community, and a ballet dance camp the first part of August.
Partnership Team has met and started looking into some local ministry efforts we can continue to be involved in and new efforts we can get involved in.
You will all hear more and more about this as we continue to advance God's work and kingdom through Meadow Spring.
Giving is up. I am so proud of this church!
Due to the giving, we project that by December 31 we will have the funds we need to completely redo the parking lot and replace at least two possibly all three roof-top HVAC units! THAT is awesome!
We are also making some adjustments to our plans for remodeling the lobby and hallway. Adjustments that will literally save us hundreds of thousands of dollars.
We are seriously considering doing the contracting and as much of the work ourselves as is possible.
This part of our vision won't happen for at least a year and a half unless God moves in such a way where the funds come in before then.
This Tuesday night at 8:30 PM, I will be going live on Facebook to recap today, talk a little more about Vision '17, and answer any questions you might have.
Feel free to ask any questions now via email, Facebook message, or in the comments section.
I am totally PUMPED about how all of this is fleshing out.
