Did not feel good about my delivery the first service. Seemed like I was not making sense and all over my notes.
Part of the issue is I'm so pumped for our Rockin' Christmas Eve and had that on my mind. I needed to focus on today not Saturday.
I was actually pleased with the attendance in light of the extreme cold we are experiencing. At 9:00 AM, it was close to -25 air temp.
Rockin' Christmas Eve is really shaping up to be the best we've ever done.
We've got some fun songs planned that will get you clapping and tapping and moving and some more serious songs that will help us really focus on the birth of Jesus.
I've invited a couple neighbors. Praying they will be able to come.
Got a pile of the invite cards I hope to hand out too this week.
Our Facebook ad has reached over 9600 people and we've seen over 400 clicks to our web site!
Did you catch Pat & John on Facebook Live after today's service?
Speaking of Facebook Live - if you want to let your friends and family experience our Rockin' Christmas Eve (and they can't come) - just Facebook Live the service or part of the service.
Had someone refer to Meadow Spring as a "mega church". Made me LOL!
Had a great meeting this past week with the builder and architect for our Building the Dream Phase 2. Not going to reveal what all is planned yet - but I know you will love it! It's going to totally open up the lobby and make it so welcoming!
Got the Youth Center HVAC unit fixed. I mean we put a $500.00 band-aid on it. The real fix will cost us $15,000.00 for a new unit. The units on the roof are over 10 years old some are twice that old.
Parking lot is shot and needs replaced too. Got a call this week asking if we were ready to redo it this summer at the tune of $20,000.00. After I picked myself up off the floor, I said, "Umm. No we are not ready." They said "Okay." ... Phew!
In light of all this, we are formulating a plan to pay for it all and it's going to be awesome!
"No Perfect People Allowed" starts January 8. Gonna be a series on how God loves and uses people who mess up in life. (And I would be one of those people!)
Sandy and I have a vacation planned for February. We're going someplace VERY warm. It will be good to get away, relax, and get reenergized for the task God is calling us to in 2017.
Have you invited EVERYONE you know to our Rockin' Christmas Eve? Remember, this is one of those times those who don't normally go to church are open to coming. So invite, invite, invite!
Baptism is scheduled for January 1. Interested or have questions? Let me know.
